Employees across departments participate in philanthropic efforts throughout the year, but they really love to get involved during the holiday season.
Food insecurity is a primary focus. Our dining staff shows up extra early on Thanksgiving morning to prepare the food for our Meals on Wheels packing event. And, partnering with MANNA Food Bank, employees sponsor a holiday food drive with collection barrels located around campus.
Deerfield team members also support the children of Eliada Homes, sponsoring an average of 20 children each year with a Christmas gift giving program. Using a child’s wish list, a group of employees team up and shop, making Christmas dreams come true for children in WNC.
