Deerfield’s Bring Love To Tables (BLT), a resident-led program, has existed for fifteen years and has always been managed by volunteers. A reorganization of the BLT program will create teams of volunteers, to improve equitability and efficiency. The hope is to have more volunteers on teams and developing schedules for each team to facilitate timely completion of the various BLT tasks, while simultaneously ensuring no one works too hard.
The Volunteer Teams will include:
• Planning/Ordering
• Prep and transport
• Set-Up
• Assemble
• Watering and Maintenance
• Clean-up
• Miscellaneous Tasks that include BLT’s community garden plots, arrangements throughout the community, notes of appreciation, coordination of in-kind donation and communications.
