Our search for an additional team member to provide support to the marketing department didn’t have to go any farther than right here at Deerfield. Meghan Atkinson has joined our team as Marketing Assistant/Transitions Coordinator! This position provides marketing assistance to the team, with a focus on supporting new residents moving in to Deerfield and current residents as they transition to Assisted Living and Healthcare. Meghan started at Deerfield in 2011 in the Social Services/Admissions position for Assisted Living. She graduated from Western Carolina University where she obtained a Bachelor degree in Social Work. During her time as the Assisted Living Social Worker she obtained a Dementia Practitioner Certificate.
Meghan shared with us, “During this time, I’ve grown significantly in my personal life as well; I am married and have two boys. I was born and raised in Asheville, NC and could not have picked a better place to raise a family and be in a profession that I love. While I am transitioning into the Marketing Department I am excited to continue to provide support, encouragement and resources to new and existing residents within our community. Deerfield is an exceptional place to work and I truly feel blessed to be a part of the Deerfield family and what we call the Deerfield way.”
